Go to INSERT ribbon and click on the OBJECT button (it's towards the right size of the ribbon).
Click on the CREATE FROM FILE tab, BROWSE, select your word file and click OK.
It will now appear in a box in your excel sheet.
You can double click anywhere in it to open the Word document in Excel and you can edit text, format tables and images from there.
BUT it will only display page 1 of your document, even if you scroll to last page.
If you want to display more pages, you can choose do a few things, like:
- split your word document into 1 page word documents
- change your page size so it can all fit into 1 Word page (eg change from A4 to A3 or to custom size) and then import to excel
