The comparison can also be done with SUMPRODUCT:
=SUMPRODUCT(--(A2:A11=B2:B11)) or =SUMPRODUCT(--(A2:A11<>B2:B11))
This works if there is no error in columns A or B. If there is an #N/A in either column, the formula will also return #N/A
If there are #N/As in either columns, you could use a helper column to display 1 and 0, then sum the 1s.
If you have #N/As only in column B: =IF(ISNA(B2);1;IF(A2<>B2;1;0)) This formula returns 1 if #N/A in column B and also for your condition in sumproduct.
If you might have #N/A in both columns, you can use: =IF(OR(ISNA(A2);ISNA(B2));1;IF(A2<>B2;1;0))
