1. Use Chrome for this
2. Open the page with the video
3. I'm assuming you already downloaded the video using an online downloading service, or otherwise
4. Right click on the video page and click on Inspect
5. Under Inspect, choose Network
6. Play the video and enable subtitles - click on CC, then disable them - another click on CC
7. Under Inspect, in the Filter field write "text" without quotations
8. If nothing appears, just reload the page (keyboard shortcut F5 to refresh / reload)
9. Now lines containing the word "text" should appear under Inspect in the column Name)
10. The subtitles are of the Type (3rd column) texttrack
11. Right click each of them (assuming you had more videos in the page, there would be more than 1 texttrack) and click Open in new tab
12. Select all text and copy to notepad, then save as text file; if subtitles are in English skip to step 16
13. If subtitles are in Romanian, you might have diacritics like ţ, ş (usually these 2 are with problems) and you might notice that upon doing steps 16- they show wrong on video, eg. weird characters, question mark signs or ş instead of ţ
14. If so, open notepad and replace ţ, ş, Ţ, Ş with ț, ș, Ț, Ș - make sure you check Match case. There might not seem to be any difference between the 2 sets of diacritics, but there is - 1 set is with cedilla, and the other is without.
15. After all diacritics have been replaced, save your file in the UTF-8 format (otherwise they will be replaced by ? characetrs)
16. Go to
17. Browse for your previously saved text file and load it, then click Convert to Srt
18. Download the SRT file and test with video
That's it.
