Just save the following snippet as a .reg file. Make sure your Office version is the right one first. Then run it and import into the registry. Then go create your profile in Outlook and get your e-mails on the partition you want.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook] "ForceOSTPath"="D:\\DESIRED FOLDER NAME" "ForcePSTPath"="D:\\DESIRED FOLDER NAME"
; If it doesn't work, first go to that key in regedit and delete ForceOSTPath and ForcePSTPath, then ; create them again as Expandable String Values
; If it still doesn't work, check Source 1 for another option - Symbolic Links
; Source 1: https://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/move-the-ost-file.htm ; Source 2: https://www.slipstick.com/exchange/moving-outlook-ost-file/ |
Source suggests the type of data should be Expandable String Value, but I made normal String Values instead so when I export the reg file you can actually see the path instead of some hex code.
I tested this and it works for me, but if it doesn't in your case, make those ForceOSTPath and ForcePSTPath as Expandable Strings, or check sources for more info.
