Enabling Win32long paths will allow win32 applications and Windows Store applications to access paths beyond the normal 260 character limit. Enabling this setting will cause the long paths to be accessible within the process.\
If you're using a version of Windows that does not provide access to Group Policy (like Windows Home edition), you can edit the registry instead.
Using Group Policy editor
1. Hit the Windows key, type group policy and open Edit group policy. 2. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Filesystem. 3. Double click Enable Win32 long paths option and enable it.
Editing the Registry
1. Hit the Windows key, type regedit and open Registry Editor. 2. Navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem 3. If LongPathsEnabled exists, set its value to 1. 4. If it doesn't exist, create a DWORD (32-bit) value with the name LongPathsEnabled. Set the value to 1 and close the Registry Editor.
