0. Open the desired sheet with the ranges you want to password protect
1. Go to the REVIEW ribbon - click Allow Edit Ranges (it might have a bit different name depending on your Excel version)
2. Click the New button
3. Change the Title to whatever you want
4. Set the range of cells in the Refers to cells field
5. Add the Range password, then click OK
6. Reenter password, then click OK
7. Repeat steps 2-6 for all your desired ranges
8. Click the Protect Sheet button on the bottom left of the "Allow Users to Edit Ranges" box
9. Add a master password for yourself (or the person who will be able to edit anything in the sheet), then click OK
10. Reenter the master password, then click OK
Now you can put this file on the intranet and give each user the password for their designated range of cells.
