As an example I will take partitioning a 500 GB SSD with fresh Windows 10 Home installed on it.
1. Right click on This PC and select Manage
2. Click on Disk Management
3. Right click on (C:) drive (not Disk 0, and don't mind the small partition around (C:) drive) and select Shrink Volume. A space query will start that shouldn't take more than 30-60 s
4. Check available shrink space (2nd field) but make sure you leave Windows 10 partition enough space for Windows - over 100 GB. I chose the shrink size to be 350 GB so Windows 10 was left with 130 GB.
5. Click the Shrink button, then Finish
6. Right click the Unallocated Space and Format with NTFS.
Done
