On my last Windows install I disabled a lot of things (OneDrive, some icons etc.) and one of them disabled the Windows Spotlight messages and "Like what you see?". I wanted them back cause some pics are really cool and I was curious to know where they were taken.
Looked online and everything I found didn't help at all.
On a fresh install of Windows I thought I'd disable things one by one.
Lo and behold, disabling OneDrive made Windows Spotlight stop.
Don't disable OneDrive if you want it to keep showing messages and picture information.

Apparently setting EnableLUA to 0 in the registry at the following key also disables messages on the Windows Spotlight:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
How is this related? :uimit:
Note: EnableLUA set to 1 is when you set UAC to Never notify. Setting it to 0 should completely disable UAC.
