1. Open Find and Replace
2. Click More>>
3. Select Use wildcards
4. In the Find what: field add something similar to: (\(*)\) - (\ = start character is ( - (*) = any and every character between start and end characters - \) = end character is )
5. In the Replace with: field add the desired formatting, leave empty then go to Format - Highlight in order to highlight the findings in yellow.

Wanted to find text after slash / and before paragraph end and make it italic in a 20 page document, I wrote this:
\/(*)^13
If looking for paragraphs that are not followed by a paragraph end character - since they are in a table, I also used:
\/(*)?\
Since that also selects the / and makes it italic, after the wildcard find and replace, I will look for the slash character and make it non italic in the entire document.
I don't know if there's a way to look for the / character but exclude it from making italic.
