Apparently just enabling DND mode from Sound & Vibration is not enough.
Notifications still make sounds even in DND mode.
Additionally, you have to do the following steps to make your phone silent in DND:
1. In Settings, look for Privacy protection
2. Tap on Special permission
3. Tap on Do Not Disturb access
4. Tap on Notifications
5. Turn the slider to off then press OK
If after pressing OK, the slider goes back to on, try this:
1. Go to Notifications - Floating Notifications
2. Tap on Notification Manager
3. Disable Allow playing sound
