Normally, when you search for emails from a certain person Outlook searches only for people in the TO of the emails you sent.
If you sent an email to someone in the CC, that email won't be found on a normal search.
In order for Outlook to find both the emails sent TO and in CC, you can do it in two ways:
1. The text method
In the search bar, simply add something like:
TO:"PERSON NAME" OR CC:"PERSON NAME" |
or
TO:"PERSON EMAIL" OR CC:"PERSON EMAIL" |
If in the same search you want to exclude a person, add like this:
TO:"PERSON NAME" OR CC:"PERSON NAME" AND NOT:"2ND PERSON NAME" |
or
TO:"PERSON EMAIL" OR CC:"PERSON EMAIL" AND NOT:"2ND PERSON EMAIL" |
2. Use options provided in Search option
Click on the arrow down that appears to the right of the search field when you click inside it, then choose Add more options, select CC.
However, like this you don't have the "NOT sent go someone" option.
