Snapping to corners is annoying for me because I never need a window that small.
The default maximize when moving window to top, and half screen snap when moving to sides is enough for me.
To disable corner snapping:
1. Click Start and open Settings
2. System - Multitasking
3. Arrow down on Snap windows to show options
4. Uncheck "Show snap layouts when I drag a window to the top of my screen"
You can now snap to corners manually by hovering the maximize button of any window, if you leave the "Show snap layouts when I hover a window's maximize button" checked.

Even without the 2 settings above disabled, it still would corner my windows real quick.
I also disabled the last option: "When I drag a window, let me snap it without dragging all the way to the screen edge".
Seems to work better now.
