I have an excel range containing kilograms of materials where some values are larger than zero and some are zero.

I want to convert the kg into tons, with 2 decimals and thousands separator, but don't want zero values to show any decimals and show simply as: 0

To do this:

1. I add a Conditional Formatting new rule on the desired range.

2. Format only cells that contain - Cell value - equal to - =0

3. Format - Number - Decimal places = 0

Now all the other numbers have 2 decimals, while zeroes have no decimals anymore.
