SendEmail is a lightweight, command line SMTP email client. If you have the need to send email from a command line, this free program is perfect: simple to use and feature rich. It was designed to be used in bash scripts, batch files, Perl programs and web sites, but is quite adaptable and will likely meet your requirements. SendEmail is written in Perl and is unique in that it requires NO MODULES. It has an intuitive and flexible set of command-line options, making it very easy to learn and use.
SendEmail is licensed under the GNU GPL, either version 2 of the License or (at your option) any later version. [Supported Platforms: Linux, BSD, OS X, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, & Windows XP]
Tested on Windows 10 and it works just fine.
Example of e-mail sent via Task Scheduler - Open a program - path to sendEmail.exe Arguments: -f YOUREMAIL@gmail.com -t SENDTO@yahoo.com -u SUBJECT -m THIS IS THE BODY -s smtp.gmail.com:587 -xu YOUREMAIL@gmail.com -xp YOUREMAIL_PASSWORD -o tls=yes
YOUREMAIL_PASSWORD can be obtained by going into your Gmail Settings - Security - App passwords
You can use HTML tags to edit the e-mail body, like this:
-m <html><b><font color=gold>THIS IS</font> THE BODY</b></html>
will result in: THIS IS THE BODY
You can test everything prior to adding a scheduled task by opening CMD on the sendEmail.exe folder, then writing the arguments above with sendEmail.exe before them, like: sendEmail.exe -f YOUREMAIL@gmail.com -t SENDTO@yahoo.com -u SUBJECT -m THIS IS THE BODY -s smtp.gmail.com:587 -xu YOUREMAIL@gmail.com -xp YOUREMAIL_PASSWORD -o tls=yes
