So I had created a table connection and added both to the Data Model in an Excel file, but then wanted to delete one of the tables and create a new connection.
After deleting one of the tables, when I go to Existing Connections - Tables, I still see my old table as Tbl_dahsboard #REF!
In order to delete this, after closing the Existing Connections window, on the Data tab towards the middle-right side of the ribbon, a bit after Data Validation there should be a button called Manage Data Model.
After clicking that button, a window containing my tables should open (the window is called Power Pivot for Excel. Down in that window there will be 1 sheet for each of my tables. To delete the old (removed) table, right click on its name and select Delete, then Yes. Then close the Power Pivot for Excel window.
Now when going to Existing Connections again, there will be no Tbl_dahsboard #REF! anymore.
