The goal is to do the following syntax in CMD: ren "Old file name.extension" "New file name.extension"
1. Open the folder containing the files you want to rename
2. To open CMD in that folder, in the address bar type cmd and press enter
3. In CMD type the following command to get only the names and extensions of the files: dir /b
4. Select the desired names in CMD and press CTRL+C to copy
5. Open Excel and paste the names in column A
6. In column B type the desired new names
7. Type the extensions using the dot in column C (eg .doc) and drag down to cover all names
6. In column D put the " sign and drag down
7. In column E put the string: ren and drag down
8. Now, as stated initially, the goal is to create a syntax like: ren "Old.ext" "New.ext", so if the steps above were followed just like that, in column F you can type the following formula: =E1 & " " & D1 & A1 & D1 & " " & D1 & B1 & C1 & D1
9. Drag the formula down to cover all file names.
10. Copy the resulted rows (formula rows) and paste them into CMD to rename those files
