In order to achieve this, you must open both PowerPoint files and move each of them to the desired monitor. You are not required to move the files to the corresponding monitor for this to work, but it's better if you do so since if you do the first step, you would have to Alt+TAB to get to the 2nd PPT file.
Step 1 On the primary monitor in the 1st PPT file, go to the Slide Show tab, under Monitor select Primary monitor and press F5 or Shift+F5 to open the first slideshow.
Step 2 On the secondary monitor, while in the 2nd PPT file, go to the Slide Show tab, under Monitor select the name of the secondary monitor and press F5 or Shift+F5 to open the second slideshow.
If you have more monitors, it should work similarly for all. The key is opening the slideshow on each monitor before moving to the next file and selecting the desired monitor for it.
