Apparently it's possible from gpedit.msc if you have Windows 11 SE (which you most likely don't):
Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Start Menu and Taskbar, enabling Remove Recommended section from Start Menu, then restarting Windows Explorer.
There are several software out there that can help you remove Recommended section and even enhance your start menu:
