key words: power query excel rename columns formula
I have a few column headers that in the original file contain references/notes marked with the asterisk character (*). I need a power query step to rename all columns containing that character and removing it.
1. Click on the last step (or desired step) in your Query Settings, and select "Insert Step After".
2. In the formula bar, add the following formula making sure you rename the previous step according to your own, and the replaced and replaced with parameters with your own as well:
| = Table.TransformColumnNames(#"Removed Columns", each Text.Replace(_, "*", "")) |
