I'm done searching for software that would do this for me when the most simple solution is at my fingers.
Want to find out if buddy X / girlfriend / boyfriend / etc. was online while you were gone? Easy:
1. Open the chat window with buddy X (even if he/she is offline).
2. Go wherever you have to go.
3. When you come back you will have the sign out info in that chat window of his/hers, like this:
Buddy X has signed out. (03.03.2013 13:50)
