Let's say you have to modify a table in which there is text and there are also some rectangles behind parts of the text.
When copy/pasting the table, some of these rectangles moved and now you have to move them back to their correct position. But they are hidden behind the text and you can't select them. You could create those rows/columns and shapes from scratch, then remove the rows/columns with problems. But it takes too much, especially if time is short and there are many shapes to move.
Here's what you have to do (Word 2007): 1. Go to the HOME ribbon. 2. On the far right side of the ribbon there is the EDITING group. 3. There you have the SELECT option. 4. Choose SELECT OBJECTS. 5. Now go with your mouse in the tables and select any shape and move it. You can do this for all the shapes. Note: you can't select text while in the select objects mode. 6. If you want to select text, just hit the ESCAPE key.
