Say you have a big word document (like 100 pages) that you need to check for mistakes and read from start to end, word by word, line by line.
You make some modifications to it, save and go away from the computer. Someone else comes and closes your document by mistake or you close it yourself, forgetting what was the last page you edited.
If you open the document it will be at page 1. What you need to do?
You need to press SHIFT+F5 and it will teleport you to the page where you last edited. Yes, even if you closed the document, shut down the computer, went on vacation for two weeks, etc.
