Assuming you made headers and column sizes before deciding to add a Table (CTRL+T), and you don't want it to ruin column widths.
Simply create a table and uncheck the "My table has headers" option.
It will create a table and your headers will be on the first row - now simply copy the headers from row 1 and paste them as headers, then remove row 1.
