For some reason, there are some cameras whose video recordings cannot be played normally.
But with the following setting they can be played in VLC Media Player:
1. Open VLC
2. Go to Tools - Preferences
3. At the bottom left select All
4. Under Input / Codecs click on Demuxers
5. Set the Demux module: H264 video demuxer
6. Click Save
Note: You will have to revert to Automatic demux module in order to play any other types of videos.
