Range 1 contains ABC102322555 and Range 2 contains an identical code but with added characters, e.g. ABC102322555PBG. Characters in the end in Range 2 vary from 1 to 4.
Appropriate formula to match these is:
| =XLOOKUP(V5# & "*"; L5#; L5#; "Not found"; 2) |
V5# = Range 1 = "root" strings
L5# = Range 2 = strings with added characters
