I have a few lists of family names (1st column) and given names (2nd column). I need to have them in a different sheet and be able to remove the duplicates. I want to create spills in the central sheet to see exactly the raw data, joined names & given names (needs space between the 2 strings), and then the comparison.
This can be achieved with helper column - since there is no space available to put between names & given names - or without helper column and create the space array in the joining formula.
In B2# I have =A_COMP!B2:B630 and in C2# =A_COMP!C2:C630. I created a spill of spaces in A2# which I believe is useful just to show how it is possible based on the length of another spill. I will not use it for my end formula where I will be creating the spill directly inside it.
So A2# spill of spaces: =EXPAND(" ";ROWS(B2#);1;" ")
Now my end formula without using that helper A2# spill:
=MAP(B2#;C2#; LAMBDA(b;c; TEXTJOIN(" ";TRUE;b;c) ) ) |
