Install the program called SubtitleEdit from here:
http://mrrrr.3xforum.ro/post/916/1/Subt ... it_v3_4_1/
Open the SUB / IDX file.
On the left make sure the OCR Method is OCR via Tesseract.
Below that, you can choose to download the Tesseract dictionaries - english, romanian, etc.
After you select your desired dictionary look in the middle of the window for the "Start OCR" button and press it.
Wait for the program to finish reading the subtitle file, then save as SRT.
